News from Visitation Province

A Visitation From The Provincial Assembly… Some of us did not get to the Summer Assembly, but the Assembly came to us at Andrews of Charlottetown! How fortunate we were to have sisters from the “Conversations of the Heart” group join us to share their experience! Gathered in our community room, with a beautifully prepared centre table, the atmosphere opened our spirits to receive an enthusiastic message from our presenters. After the Assembly Prayer, the theme and spirit of the Assembly were communicated to us. Following a brief introduction to Contemplative Prayer, we experienced a 10-minute period of communal contemplation. An inspiring handout enabled us to reflect on the “Deepening of Our Direction Statement.” Comments on our understanding of Creative Governance followed with the promise of future input from the committee. Our closing hymn, “How Then Shall I Live?” challenged us to go forth in hope. Our gathering concluded with delicious refreshments. We deeply appreciated this special community experience.
